This song is on the album: What’s the Point?
All for love for all
According to the file dates, I put these words to print two years ago. This is one of the older songs on the album. It’s a simple, gentle song that tells a brief version of how it was before meeting Giselle, meeting her and then being with her. That was all nice but, at the end it begs the question posed.
The song was simple but then a strange thing happened as is typical in this recording process. I picked a drum track that gave the song its signature.
Em D Am B B7
Em D Am G
Oh, all the many years when I looked for you
C Am B B7
Always believing that dreams would come true
Em D Am G
There’s beauty all around. I see it everywhere
C Am B B7
The World is a wonder. It’s rich beyond compare
Oh, all the times that I have been in love
With a passing fancy or with the sky above
Imagine all the times when I went astray
Thinking I had found you, but no… not today
Then, out of nowhere, you stepped into my view
Everything fell to the side. Now, I am with you
Instrumental 2 x verses E E7
A B E C#m
Imagine all the time that I will have with you
A F#m B E
Quietly grateful that dreams do come true
A B E C#m
There is beauty all around for us to share
A F#m B B7
You are a wonder who I love beyond compare
2 empty verse lines, then …
Oh, I was wondering if there’s more I should do
C Am B7 E
Should I love everyone like I love you?
