Never Forever

After a year of running around together while we were a) deciding if we should give ourselves a “go” and b) saying “of course” and then working the Visa process to get this Brazilian Lady into the USA, she finally did arrive in the USA. A month later, I had to go to the mountains of BC, Canada for work for a week., I recall writing this song while in Stewart, BC. Perhaps a bit of therapy to get me through the trauma of pathetically missing my girl for a week.

The song’s genesis does date back to late summer 2017 and it lingered in an unsatisfactory state until I dealt with it three years later. It lends its title to the album. I love the double and opposing meaning of the phrase: never forever.
