You will find I remember on the Never Forever album
I Remember
From Day One, this lady has been magnificent. Getting connected to this Brazilian Beauty took a lot of airplane rides, Passport stamps, numerous visas and time spent in seven countries. In the background, we had a serious medical trauma in play but we also had an endlessly fun time. This song speaks to the earliest moments of this and is likely a common story for many people. So far, I remember it all and I hope I never forget!
This song has the aforementioned eclectic sense to its verses but, just as Giselle has centered me, the chorus - or is it a bridge? - is so calming by comparison bringing you back to where you are comfortable.
I Remember
Am7 F#m7
I remember how I felt the first time I ever saw her
Bm G C7 Am
What if I talk to her? Would she even care?
F E E7
I was scared
I remember her voice the first time we ever spoke
What should I say to her? Would we connect?
I was a wreck
I remember that she laughed and told me everything
“Let’s do this again” she said, “to see how things unfold”
She was gold

She took me by the hand and said,

“Everything is ok.
C A#
The World is always changing
B7 E7
but we are here to stay”
I remember all the days and nights I had without her
I was an empty ship adrift at sea
That was me
She took me by the hand and said
“Everything is ok.
The World is always changing
but we are here to stay”
With every moment that we live, memories are seeded
What a story we have. It’s the one we needed.
And I remember it all
