Bounce d’around
I had this idea for a fast, toe-tapping thing again with the Lennon principle laid down in the verses: A, C#m, A7, D, Dm, E, C#m, A. Track the note progression through the chords. The words are just throw-in stuff about one aspect of life that we are all occasionally subjected to. The title is odd just for the hell of it.
Bounce d’Round
A C#m
When all is said and done
E7 D
With nothing lost or nothing won
Dm E
All I am left with
E7 E7
Is feeling bounced around.
When all is sad and gone
What was the cost, where’s the fun?
There is nothing right with
Feeling bounced around
When you’re crushed and broke
Shoved in the mud, under the gun
Where’d you rather be than
Be bounced around?
When you are pushed and pulled
Can’t get lost and can’t be found
You know that you’ve been fooled.
You’ve been bounced around
F#m E
Bounced around all over town
C#m E
Set me up and knock me down
F#m E
You call me great then a clown
B7 E
Yeah, I’ve been bounced around
Now, listen here my son
Don’t be pummeled to the ground
Seize the day, walk away.
Don’t be bounced around
Chorus
