Was thinking about all of the things she and I have shared in our too few (8+ so far) years together. It’s a lot of footprints and memories all over the place. Some troubling, most irreplaceable, none bad. Deserved a song.

You and I have walked barefoot on trails and seashore
F Dm A# C
And we have laughed so many times at stories with our friends
F F7 Dm A#
Sometimes we said, for good or bad, “I’ll have just one more”
Gm C7 Fmaj7 C7
And we hoped, time after time that all this never ends
F Fsus Fsus2
You and I have strolled the small, quaint shops of Paris
And laughed at people we don’t know because they’re oddly dressed
We’ve been jostled around and lost in great big crowds that scare us
And so we say so every day that you and I are blessed F7

And you and I wish for one thing in the end
Gm Gm7 C C7
That would be that you and I could do this all again. You and I

Instrumental Verse
You and I share our deepest hopes and fears
And we share what our dreams are and laugh at what we do
Our stories go back to many places, too many years
We forget a few and remember what we want to
And you and I wish for one thing in the end
That would be that you and I could do this all again. You and IF Fsus Fsus2 C Fx2
