It’s Christmas Time
I thought I would try making a memorable - if possible - Christmas Song. After about five duds, I decided to speed things up and use a standard “rock” chord structure that everyone can easily relate to. It is the standard E-E-A-E-B verse with an A-E-A-B chorus. This bit is not on an album.
It’s Christmas Time
Intro Instrumental Verse
It doesn’t matter where you are
When the year comes to its end
New York City or Zanzibar
It’s time to have fun with your friends
Have a coconut on Copacabana
Or curl up by a fire in Oregon
And it’s time to share stories,
With lots of laughter and happy song
I am ever hopeful
Steadfast and strong
That life can be peaceful
And we all get along
And it’s time to be grateful
For gifts from above
And it’s time to be thankful
For people who love
It’s time to give thanks to
The God we hold dear
And it’s time to live up to
The promises made here
Chorus: Be ever hopeful…
