A young boy with no power and lots of soul

This song is on the album: What’s the Point?

Over and Over

A little rant against the people who seek power, fame or a golden Goddess at the expense of their own soul and of the harm they do to us all. The chords in the song are ‘unusual.’ The big explosion at the beginning and repeated near the end is a strong, nearby clap of lightning that I captured basically by accident in Toronto. “Oh, that’s good. I can use that!” A good way to kick off the album.

You went to war all over again killing strangers for wealth, power and God
You have already fought a thousand wars and nothing’s solved. You should find that odd?

You walked away from love again because you thought something pretty was better
You could have had everything from her, if you’d been willing to let her

Over and over and over again,                       you will hear us say…

Please stop seeking power and fame

Self-indulgence is a loser’s game
We need to see the light in your soul
We need you to become whole

 Instrumental verse

You will never have enough. Always needing more is a shame.
Waste your life if you want. We await your enlightenment, all the same

Over and over and over again, you will hear us say…
Please stop seeking power and fame
Self-indulgence is a loser’s game
We need to see the light in your soul
We need you to become whole
